Jonathan Fisher, MS, LPC
Jonathan Fisher is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) certified in biblical counseling by the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC) and is dedicated to entering into the world of others and helping them uncover their shame and guilt to achieve true long term healing.
With over 8 years of counseling experience, he specializes in couples counseling, family counseling, teen counseling and counseling with individuals seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma and shame. In addition to clinical counseling, Jonathan also participates in speaking engagements for local churches where he has taught classes and participated in panels covering topics such as marriage, parenting, and anxiety and depression in teens. He currently resides in Roanoke with his wife, a fellow counselor, and their two sons.
Jonathan holds a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. His degrees include practicum work at Mayhill Hospital (a behavioral health center specializing in mental health and chemical dependency services for adults and seniors) and internship with Metroplex Counseling as an extension of the Association of Biblical Counselors.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Jonathan also volunteered with 6 Stones, a non-profit organization in Hurst, as a counselor and as a volunteer in their mobile food pantry. Jonathan then worked for local clinical practices as a professional counselor until he ultimately opened True Hope Christian Counseling in 2018 to serve and facilitate healing for the greater Tarrant County community.
In his work, Jonathan utilizes Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and a variety of other established therapy techniques to promote positive change in clients. He primarily sees clients who would like to tackle their situation through spiritual and Biblical means, and Jonathan considers it a blessing and an honor to walk with people through their revelation and healing process.
