Our Biblical Approach to Depression Treatment:

At True Hope Christian Counseling, we believe that true healing comes from a deep relationship with Christ. That’s why we take a holistic approach to depression treatment, addressing both your spiritual and emotional needs, knowing that both are vital to lasting recovery.

In today’s world, counseling is often seen through a secular lens, focusing on finding confidence in yourself and mustering up new found self-worth that has been severely damaged overtime. While this can be helpful, it can be difficult to navigate society without experiencing new triggers and feeling influenced by comparison, shame, pressures and outside opinions. Without a firm foundational truth through which you can redefine worth and lies believed about yourself, the longevity of healing and hope can be shaky and new triggers can send you back into a spiral of self-hatred and depressive symptoms.

Through biblical counseling, we integrate research-based psychological techniques including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) with the faith-based principles that define ideology. In this way, we can look to God’s Word to heal from our experiences, low self esteem and destructive behaviors.

God’s love for you is constant. His grace, truth, and what He says about you never change. By building your healing journey on the unshakable foundation of His Word, you can find true, lasting hope, and peace, no matter what challenges come your way.
